We want to show you the M4 Block 1 game model - a weapon created for an unannounced VR project. Given its history and importance among various military forces around the world, we wanted to do everything possible to live up to expectations and deliver a high-quality rendition of this iconic firearm.
The detail in the normal map plays an important role in reflecting light, sometimes more so than other maps. Wear, dirt, scratches, dents - all of it is intentionally created to be subtle yet noticeable within the standards of game visuals, striking a balance between realism and optimization.
